Walk around :

These views show off the very well defined curved nose section of the Carenado Cessna Citation CJ2. The modelling is up to Carenado’s exceptional standards for smoothness and detailing. All door openings have well defined cutouts, smooth animation and show no signs of bleed when closed. Internal detail in the baggage bays is well defined and detailed. Panel line and rivet /screw detailing is very nicely done through textures and bump mapping. Wheel well detailing is also very nice and gear animation is smooth with no interference between parts. Textures are very well mapped and show almost no signs of texture misalignment, stretching effects etc. Textures are very crisp even when on high zoom factors. Exterior lights are well defined and have good illumination effects, though a bit more bloom would give better effect on the landing / taxi lights.

Close ups – In-flight

The following In-flights close-ups show off the high level of detailing achieved in the modelling and texturing via bump mapping etc. The landing gear and bays are particularly well defined in this model as are the engines and the curious thrust reversers that this little biz-jet employed. Flying control detail is also very good with nice detailing for flap hinging etc. Shaping throughout the model is smooth and texture mapping is precise with no real texture stretching or misalignment to mention. All in all a very nice exterior finish.

Internal detailing – Including Instrument panel, cockpit and pax cabin :

The same level of detailing is on the inside of the aircraft as well with both the cockpit and main cabin being highly detailed with excellent texturing. The cockpit, instrument panel, displays, gauges, levers, switches etc. are beautifully modeled with crisp textures even at high zoom factors. The electronic displays also have crisp, clear graphics with all being easily readable. Functionality of the instrumentation systems is very good with all operating as expected, including navigation instruments etc. Feature of this package is the Collins Proline 21 avionics suite. Sun visors are animated, control columns can be hidden. Texturing of the panel seating etc is highly detailed and again with little or no misalignment’s or stretching.
