Walk Around :
These ground views show off the very well defined features of the Carenado Beechcraft B350i King Air. The modelling of this twin turbine engine aircraft is as usual is to their very high standards for smoothness and detailing. The main cabin door and wing baggage bay doors have well defined cutouts, smooth animation and show no signs of bleed when closed. Internal detail in the baggage bay is well defined and nicely detailed as are the access steps built into the main cabin door. Panel lines and rivet /screw detailing is very nicely done through textures and bump mapping. All textures are very well mapped and show almost no signs of texture misalignment, stretching effects etc. Textures are very crisp even when on high zoom factors. Exterior lighting is to a good standard of positioning, light effects and bloom.
Close ups – In-flight
These close up In-flight shots further show the level of detailing made by the developers to reproduce this aircraft as accurately as possible, every image is full of the detail, including the landing gear and flying controls all of which have smooth animations and don’t interfere with local structures. Engine start up is well implemented with appropriate smoke effect. As with all Carenado models the static wicks balance when the engines are running. Great effects.
Internal detailing – Including Instrument panel, cockpit and pax cabin :
The same level of detailing is on the inside of the aircraft as well as the outside. The cockpit, instrument panel, three large displays, stdby ADI, analogue gauges, levers, switches etc. are beautifully modeled with crisp textures and display characters even at high or lower zoom factors. Marks and reflections on the cockpit windows are evident, great effects. Functionality of the instrumentation is very good with all operating as expected, including navigation instruments etc. The quarter light windows on both sides of the cockpit can be opened. Window anti glare blinds are animated from the side parked position to in front of the main windscreen. Both control columns can be individually hidden. The main pax cabin is decked out with a VIP leather and high quality wood veneer in a very tasteful color mix that co-ordinates with the carpeting. A rear cabin sliding door is animated to divide the main entrance stair and baggage area. There are various cabinets which are also detailed in the wood veneer. All texturing is spot on with little to no stretching or mis-alignment of the textures, all very nicely implemented. All in all a very nicely recreated cockpit and cabin.

Cockpit & Cabin Night Lighting
