Today Orbx CEO John Venema announced FTX GLOBAL VECTOR, a partnership product between Orbx Simulation Systems Pty Ltd Australia and PILOT’S GesmbH Austria

FTX Global VECTOR for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® is designed as an extension to the Orbx FTX Global Base pack and provides for an instant upgrade to the entire world from a single installer.

FTX Global VECTOR upgrades worldwide roads, rivers, coastlines, lakes, railways, power lines and corrected airport elevations. Upcoming free service packs may include ports, graveyards, docks, parks, golf courses, forests and ocean beaches and more. The initial release 1.0 of VECTOR is due for release later in 2013.

“We were thrilled when Stefan Schaefer (CEO, Austria-‐based PILOT’S) contacted us to discuss a partnership with Orbx to publish their vector addon which has been over a year in development”, said Venema. “It made complete sense to us that we work together on such a complimentary tech to the hugely successful FTX Global, which is already Orbx’s fastest selling product ever”.

“My team and I met with John recently and there was a good dynamic and synergy between our companies so we agreed to publish through Orbx and work on projects together”, Schaefer adds. “This is an exciting combination of products that will change the simulator completely in a simple upgrade step”

FTX Global VECTOR will be extremely competitively priced at AU$70 or 49 EURO and both companies are working towards a late October release timeframe.
